Mamre is statutory established in Rotterdam, its formal visiting address being secretary’s  private address. “De facto” all activities take place from the Scots International Church Rotterdam at de Schiedamse Vest, entrance Schiedamse Singel. The foundation can freely use the lower hall of this church on Wednesdays.

The Scots church is an English speaking protestant church that was established in Rotterdam  in 1643. The Scots church moved to its present location in 1952 after the destruction of the former church during the bombardment in 1940 at the start of the second world war. In the tradition of the denomination there was always place for the uprooted people in the city of Rotterdam. Since 1996 the church has added “International” to her name. With the English language as binding factor many believers with a complete or partial foreign background (appr. 40 nationalities) have found their place in this church. For many the English language is only the second language.

The church is located in the centre of Rotterdam, in the neighbourhood Cool Zuid area near the entertainment area of the Witte de With Kwartier. Accessible for everyone who is staying in the centre or travelling towards it. The church building is situated opposite the Eye Hospital. Beside the church lies an inner city square “Het Landje”, with a tennis court, a soccer field and a basketball field. The adjacent church wall is embellished with a 30 m2 work of art The Garden Wall Mosaic, that by initiative of the church was created by appr. 100 church volunteers, people from the neighbourhood and others.
